Terms of Service

1. User accounts

To use most features of YarnGPT, you must register for an account using Google. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and your API key. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

2. Service usage and User Content

YarnGPT provides text-to-speech, audio translation, and document processing services. You retain all ownership rights to the text, documents, and media files you upload or process through our Service (“User Content”).

By using the Service, you grant YarnGPT a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service to you.

You agree not to use the Service to generate content that is unlawful, hateful, abusive, or infringing on intellectual property rights.

3. Payments, credits, and refunds

YarnGPT operates on a pay-as-you-go credit system. You can add funds to your account balance, and credits are deducted based on your usage as detailed on our Pricing page. All payments are processed through our third-party payment processor, Paystack.

3.1 No cash refunds. Except as expressly stated in this Section 3, all payments made to YarnGPT — including subscription fees, plan upgrades, and credit top-ups — are final and non-refundable. YarnGPT does not issue cash or payment-instrument refunds for unused subscription time, unused credits, dissatisfaction with output quality, change of mind, or discontinued use of the Service.

3.2 Credits as the standard remedy. Where YarnGPT determines, in its reasonable discretion, that you are owed a remedy — for example due to a verified billing error, a duplicate charge, or a Service failure covered under an applicable Service Level Agreement — YarnGPT will issue the equivalent value as account credits rather than a monetary refund, unless this Section 3 or a separately signed agreement says otherwise.

• Credits are added to your YarnGPT account balance and may be used toward any subscription plan, credit top-up, or applicable usage charge.
• Credits carry the same 12-month expiry from date of issue as standard top-up credits, unless stated otherwise at the time they are granted.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, exchanged for cash, or transferred to another account or entity, and are forfeited on account closure or termination for cause.

3.3 Case-by-case refund exceptions. YarnGPT may, at its sole and absolute discretion, approve a monetary refund instead of credits in exceptional circumstances. Approval of a refund in one instance does not create an entitlement or precedent for any other client or any future request, whether from the same client or another.

Refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and may take into account, among other things:

• The nature and severity of the issue giving rise to the request;
• Whether the affected plan, top-up, or feature was used before the request was made;
• Your account history and standing;
• Applicable payment processor, banking, and regulatory constraints; and
• Any contractual terms agreed under a separate Order Form, Master Services Agreement, or enterprise contract, which take precedence over this clause where they conflict.

A refund request must be submitted in writing to contact@yarngpt.ai within 7–14 days of the relevant charge. YarnGPT will endeavour to respond within 3–5 business days. YarnGPT’s decision on a case-by-case refund request is final.

3.4 Non-refundable items.

• Credit top-up packs, once purchased, are non-refundable regardless of usage, subject to Section 3.3.
• Any portion of a subscription period or credit balance already consumed or used is non-refundable.
• Set-up, customization, or professional services fees under a custom/enterprise engagement are non-refundable once work has commenced, unless otherwise agreed in the applicable contract.

3.5 Billing errors and disputed charges. If you believe you have been charged in error, you must notify YarnGPT within 7–14 days of the charge. YarnGPT will investigate and, where an error is confirmed, correct it by way of credit under Section 3.2 or, where appropriate under Section 3.3, a monetary refund.

Please contact YarnGPT directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer. YarnGPT reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that raise chargebacks in bad faith or without first contacting YarnGPT, and to recover any resulting processor fees or losses from you.

3.6 Enterprise and custom-contract clients. Where your use of YarnGPT is governed by a separately signed Master Services Agreement, Order Form, or Service Level Agreement (including clients onboarded with an NDA for custom setup), the payment, credit, and refund terms of that agreement govern in the event of any conflict with this Section 3. Service credits payable under an SLA for downtime are separate from, and not limited by, this Section.

3.7 Statutory rights. Nothing in this Section 3 limits or excludes any right you may have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded by agreement. Where such a right applies, YarnGPT will comply with it notwithstanding the policy set out above.

4. API usage

We provide an API for accessing our text-to-speech services. You are responsible for securing your API key. Do not share it publicly. We reserve the right to limit or suspend API access for any user who violates these Terms or engages in abusive behavior.

5. Intellectual property

The Service itself, including the YarnGPT name, logo, website design, and underlying technology, are the exclusive property of YarnGPT and its licensors. You may not use our branding without our prior written consent.

You own the output files (audio and video) that you generate using the Service, subject to your ownership of the underlying User Content.

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users or the Service. You can terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. YarnGPT does not guarantee that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted. In no event shall YarnGPT be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service.

8. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the new Terms on our site. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
